An intense one point win

The game was: So close THE WHOLE GAME!!! Except for maybe the first 6 minutes where we down 6-1, but then had a massive fight back and we back within one or two before the end of the first quarter. For the rest of the game it was pretty much goal for goal, they were up for majority of the game, then we'd draw, then it would seperate by a goal or two, the draw again... It could have gone either way, just depended on who was ahead when the wistle went, and thankfully that was us! They got an intercept in the final 40 seconds but we managed to hold them off, securing the win.

A highlight was : Thinking it was going to end as a draw after a long close game, but we managed to put enough pressure on them to hold off Vic getting that last goal! Which is good, because I know we were all shattered (especially Jenna after a full game at C) with only having the bare minimum for this game, and I don't think we had much more in us to continue into over time! Also that fight back in the first quarter, such beautiful pressure on the opposition to restrict them to only a few goals while we caught up to them.

A special mention to: Sarah was our player of the match today after a stunner in the circle, dodging and driving all over the place ensure that majority of our ball made it through the net. Jenna was named played of the match by Vic 11 for her tireless effort running around the court connecting the two ends and being a vital part of our attacking end.

Following this game we plan to...: Relax for a week to ensure we look our best for prize giving! We also plan to turn up on time to prize giving so we don't get moved to the back table for our tardiness..

Thanks to: Special thanks to Vic Uni 11 for a great close game. It was great to finish with a fun game that was so intense!
