Heart stopping finish for coach, players and spectators

The game was: nerve wracking to say the least.

A highlight was : You would presume going in to the final quarter 10 goals ahead you would be feeling pretty confident this last segment would be a mere formality, but aghast that wasn't the case! Once again team 1 were depleted of their own members and called on the services of Claire from team 2 and Courtnee and Hannah from team 3, and how awesome is it to see how much depth we have in our club, all 3 took the court and definitely proved their worth, thanks so much ladies, you are awesome! Back to the game, once again we had minor issues with another fairly physical defense but kept our cool, and led the whole game by keeping steady and controlled. The last quarter however saw the wheels fall off with SMOG taking it to us with at first 6 unanswered goals and all of a sudden it was a different game. Lucky we have a never say die attitude and were able to come right at the end with an amazing turnover by JT which was converted into a goal that sealed the win for us on the final whistle. We are still top of the table but the final games in this round will determine if we are promoted to Premier 2 or have to wait for the challenge round.. We most definitely need a win, so all fit players need to be completely focused and of that I'm sure will be the case.

A special mention to: POD went to JT for her tireless defensive work claiming crucial turnover ball when needed, especially the last tip and even careening onto the gear bags didn't deter her from following it through. Also thanks again to Claire, Courtnee and Hannah, you girls are stars!

Following this game we plan to...: Once again work hard with the fit players we have.

Thanks to: Thanks once again to our supporters, your yelling certainly fired us up to give our all for that hard fought win.
