The game was: Another notch in the belts of team 3...

A highlight was : With us sitting at 4th on the table and them 5th by a mere goal differential we knew it wouldn't be an easy game. The first half was goal for goal with both teams taking a little while to settle to the point where I felt I was watching a table tennis match for awhile! The 2nd quarter however was a totally different story. We hit our straps and started to run away with the game. Jeanne and Penny were slotting goal after goal including a number of turnovers from the defence wall of Katy, Megan and Courtnee. The attacking combo of Hannah and Anna in the mid court did an outstanding job with great lines bringing the ball through court. The second half started a bit shaky with a new combination, but once that settled into a rhythm and Ashlee and Penny and then Ashlee and Jeanne starting converting the goals we were goal for goal with them capitalising on a couple of our unforced errors. When it mattered the most however, we kept our cool heads and held on for the two point win.
This now takes us to outright third on the table. Great effort!

A special mention to: Courtnee earned herself the player of the day certificate for totally dominating her partner, forcing her to shoot from long range (causing her to miss) and basically making her have a bad day at the office. Awesome job yet again Courtnee!

Following this game we plan to...: Work on driving on attack to the circle edge to ensure we are in the best position to feed the shooters.

Thanks to: The team as a whole - it was a pleasure to watch your dedication, tenacity and overall commitment to the game.
